Proud

As the Math and guide teacher for the ninth and tenth grades, I get to spend devotions with this group every morning in addition to teaching their math classes. Last year was a rough year for our eighth grade class. . .a true challenge in learning how to balance budding independence and real responsibility. This year, God's work is evident in this ninth grade class. Our students from last year. . .Alex, Jatnna, Josue, Paola. . .are showing tremendous maturity, leadership, and a desire to improve and learn more. Our new students. . .Daniela, Johan, Roberto, Rolando, Yasa, and Ben. . .have been perfect complements, all with very different personalities, but all with gifts to share and a desire for excellence. It has been fun to see the dynamic that He has created, and the progress in each individual student. At such a difficult age, this group is showing progress beyond academics, in their initiative, compassion, respect for others, and personal ownership of their actions and decisions. It is a joy to teach them!
